"I think a lot of people like to see gender as this scale of blue and pink," Emma, a 20-year-old college student, told the magazine. "I never really identified with either side of that, or even in between blue and pink. It’s so much more complicated — my identity varies so much on any given day. Sometimes I tell people I’m gold or something."
I appreciate that it includes a bit from the original article, which clarifies:
"This growing community encompasses people who see themselves as agender (neither male nor female), bi-gender (both genders) and gender-fluid (shifting from male to female)."

Happy Bi Pride/Bi Visibility Day! If you’re looking for something to do to celebrate, bisexual-community has a whole bunch of resources here. Fellow bisexuals, know that we are important, our feelings are valid, and we are not alone. (And for the last time, it’s not a phase.) Have a great day!
Bi PrideDay/Bi Visibility Day officially happens every September 23rd (since 1999!) but as it gets more and more popular you will find Events For and About the Bisexual/(Non-Monosexual) + Queer-identified Community take place throughout the entire month of September.

They define who we are - and who we can become. Across space, across time, among paths we cannot predict - nature always finds a way. — Jake Bohm, Touch
